New Car and Cute Kids
So we finally bought another car, it took us months to figure out which one to get and here it is! As Gareth tells people, we got the cheapest car he could fit in. I love it, it has much more room than the Forester and it gets better gas mileage. It's a Scion xB and it gets me back and forth to work. Yes work. I got a job! I work for the local WIC office and last week was my first week. I like it so far and I work four 10 hour days, Monday thru Thursday, so I always have 3-day weekends.

Happy Easter!

Darwin Falls
We ventured into Death Valley two weekends ago and hiked up to Darwin Falls. It was really pretty and Evan had a lot of fun getting muddy and jumping over the stream on the way up to the falls. It was a nice, quick trip that got up out of Ridgecrest for the day and the weather was perfect!

Early February
It's February 18th already and timw is flying by. As I write this we are getting ready to pick Evan up from his first sleepover at his best friend Alex's. Alex's parents are really nice and even watched Callie while we went to dinner last night for our 5th anniversary! After we pick up Evan we're headed to the park and Gareth's going to play tennis with our friend Jose while the kids and I hang out with his wife Maxine and their daughter Josephine. Callie is 10 months and we had a doctor's appointment and all is well. She's just above the 50 percentile for height and just below it for weight. She didn't have any shots so that was a relief. She still isn't walking, but it's kinda nice... I know she'll be getting into everything. For my aniversary/Valentines Day present Gareth got me my own camera and I LOVE it, so here's some new pictures!

January
Well January is almost over and I haven't blogged in a long while. Please forgive me, I've been really busy procrastinating. I will post new pictures and hopefully I'll get back to doing this more often.

I started working again for the university and also have an interview scheduled for Tuesday at the cresit union a couple blocks away. I am eager to start working again and hopefully I'll get a job soon. The childcare center on base is opening up another classroom and Callie would be at the same center as Evan. We have been so lucky with childcare for the kids, the WSU children's center was great for Evan and the one on base is great too. I am lucky to have been able to spend time at home, but I am ready for a change.
After Christmas we started working on Callie's sleeping and it makes life so much easier. She is sleeping through the night and when we lay her down, she falls asleep on her own. It was hard the first few nights, but has definately paid off. She is so mobile now and enjoys playing with her brother, it's really cute to watch.
We miss you all!

Sweetpea, new table & driveway mystery
Marci Gave Callie this Sweetpea and she's really been loving on it lately. The nurses called Callie 'Sweetpea' while we were in the hospital and the nickname kind of stuck, we also call her 'pooper' though...
Here is our new table! It's nice and high, which they call 'pub style' and we like it because:
1) It's black.
2) It has what they call a 'butterfly leave', it stores itself under the table so you no longer have to spread out throughout the house in search for the leave that Mom put somewhere, probably under something too heavy to be moved.
3) We got 2 barstools and 4 barstools with backs (apparently when you buy a table that's 'pub style', the chairs are called barstools no matter what style they are).
4) Getting down from the table is a lot easier than getting up from one.
5) It hides our useless fireplace perfectly!
I found a stapled piece of yellow paper in the driveway. It was a piece of granite inside an advertisment, who woulda thought? Of all the things I thought it could be, granite was not one of them. Clever.
